Visit the Haberdash store in River North to witness the unveiling of its spring fashion "lookbook" (elitist term for catalogue?) on Thursday, April 26th. The featured models in the book are actually some of Chicago's top chefs, bartenders, and others not worth mentioning. They've even included a few exclusive recipes for all you bespoked apron wearing fashion foodies out there! And of course no lookbook unveiling is complete without gratis tequila! Ciroc de Mayo

Privét, the ridiculously exclusive Gold Coast club that you're probably not cool enough to enter, is hosting Ciroc de Mayo on Friday, May 4th! Spring Desire Affinity Night

I was recently watching hockey and scratching when I thought, "Wow, these guys are so graceful. It's like watching a ballet with more fights and less teeth. I guess ballet really isn't that bad." Suddenly, I received this gem in my inbox. Spring Desire Affinity Night, featuring select performances from the Spring Desire program, will take place at the Joffrey Tower on Wednesday, May 2nd. Afterward the Artistic Director of the Show, Ashley Wheater, will host a (very brief?) Q&A session followed by cocktails and hors d'ouevres. RSVP by Wednesday, April 25th to get on the list!

Kentucky Derby Viewing Party

Crown Royal, my favorite purveyor of Canadian whisky, is sponsoring a Kentucky Derby Viewing Party at Hawthorne Race Course on Saturday, May 5th!  Guests will enjoy Kentucky Derby themed food and delicious cocktails, including Mint Juleps and Jell-O shots made from the bones of the loser horses. DJ Joe Kollege will get it poppin' on the turntables and live music will be performed by a special band.

This event looks like it could be really fun. Though it's not the same as going to the actual Kentucky Derby, you're still encouraged to wear the appropriate derby attire. For the ladies this includes big, floppy hats adorned with a variety of flowers and twigs (extra points if it has an actual bird's nest attached.) Gentlemen should wear their classiest pastel-colored suits with matching pinky rings and aviator monocles.

Who's Who in Latino Chicago Book Launch Party

Who's Who in Latino Chicago, you ask? Tu madre! That's who! I kid, I kid. The Who's Who in Latino Chicago Book Launch Party will take place at the Supper Club in The South Loop Hotel on Thursday, April 19th. This free event includes complimentary Miller 64, a hosted Ciroc cocktail reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and plenty of delicious hors d'ouevres for your nibbling pleasure.

An Evening with English Gin

The Bedford is hosting a night of English gin tasting and self discovery on Wednesday, April 18th! Carlisle Wide Plank Floors is opening a new showroom at the Chicago Merchandise Mart on Wednesday, April 18th, and they want you to get blitzed to celebrate the occasion! When I Googled "wide plank" I assumed the company logo would pop up, but as you can see from the picture I posted, my actual results were a tad awesomer.
